**follow these steps:** \

1. To begin, **open Adobe Reader** and open the secure file.
2. Then, in Adobe Reader 8 or 9, go to the Tools menu, or in Adobe Reader X, **go to the Edit menu.**
3. Then, in Adobe Reader 8 or 9, go to **Select & Zoom>>Snapshot Tool.** Alternatively, in Adobe Reader X, go to 'Take a Snapshot.'
4. Then, using your mouse, hover over the text to copy it from the encrypted PDF.
5. Then, selecting the text to be copied with the translucent '+' icon.
6. To choose a text area, drag the cursor over it.
7. To take **a screenshot of the content,** release the mouse button.
8. To copy text from a [**PDF**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95156/how-do-i-create-pdf-documents) file, open a Word document file.
9. **Finally, paste the material into the.doc file** using the **Ctrl+V keys.**
