# How do I scan to a PDF in Windows 10?

### Answer by Hitesh Vohra

Follow these steps:

1. **Select Tools > Create PDF > Scanner > Autodetect Color Mode** from the menu bar.
2. Click the Settings icon if you want to scan multiple files into a [**PDF**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95141/how-do-i-make-a-pdf-file). The screen for Custom Scan appears. Check the box to prompt you to scan more pages.
3. **Select Scan**.
4. Select Scan More Pages, Scan Reverse Sides, or Scan Is Complete if you're prompted to scan more pages, then **click OK.**
