- **While the Windows 'blue screen of death' (BSOD)** is usually a frightening sight, it is often fixed automatically by Windows. It will process some data in the background and analyse it for you before restarting your machine.
- Note the error code when you encounter the BSOD in case it isn't resolved automatically.
- By now, you should be back in business (Windows 7 and 10 will run the automated analysis). However, if something still doesn't feel right, you can look into it further.
- If you type your error code into your browser, you'll probably get a few results. Follow any advice from reputable websites, such as Windows or its partners.
- If you continue to encounter the BSOD after resolving it, you may have faulty hardware and should contact that IT professional.
