**To DISABLE your microphone off** follow these steps:

1. Right-click the Start button and select Properties.
2. Go to Device Manager and select it.
3. Next to Audio inputs and outputs, click the dropdown arrow.
4. **Right-click Internal [Microphone](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50783/how-to-fix-iphone-7-microphone-that-stopped-working-after-installing-a-new-update-to-ios-11)** — depending on your PC's hardware, this label may change.
5. Disable is selected.
6. Yes, should be selected.
7. So now your microphone is disabled
