## steps to change the public network to work in Windows 10:

- Connect to the network after selecting it. Select it after you've connected it, then **click Properties.**
- Open **Start > [Settings](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95658/how-hard-is-it-to-restore-firefox-to-its-default-settings) > Network & Internet > Ethernet,** then click your network adapter to modify the network profile for a wired network.
- Then select the desired profile.
- You have the ability to modify the settings for your public and private networks.
- Open Start > Settings > Network & Internet, then select Sharing options under Change your network settings.
- Select the radio box for the desired options, such as turning off network discovery, file and printer sharing, or accessing homegroup connections, after expanding Private or public.
