Let's have a look at one of the most common difficulties that you could see when trying to update Windows 10 or Windows 11 (yes, new OS, same old problems!).

The above-mentioned error code basically signifies that your update failed, and there are a few things you may do to fix it:

- There's a **problem with your VPN or proxy server.** If you're trying to update Windows, make sure your VPN or proxy is turned off fully. It's possible that you'll have to remove and reinstall the software.
- Check for **missing or corrupt system files.**
- For this and other update issues, try looking for the update you're looking for in the Microsoft Update Catalog and manually installing it.
