It's a versatile file format developed by Adobe that allows individuals to show and exchange documents in a simple and reliable manner, regardless of the software, hardware, or operating systems used by those who read the document.

**To install Acrobat Reader DC in Internet Explorer, follow these steps.**

- Close all Reader editions. Close any browsers that are currently showing a PDF.\
- Click Install Now on the Adobe Acrobat Reader download page.
- Click Run when you see the file download message at the bottom of the browser window.
- Click Finish when you receive the confirmation notice that the installation is complete.
