This disables media scanning in Gallery and other apps. You can fix this by changing the option to reveal hidden files. Check the Trash folders and synced data if you still can't discover a missing image. - Tap More choices (the three vertical dots) and then Hide or unhide albums from the Albums tab of Gallery. To bring up any hidden albums, tap the switches adjacent to them. - Navigate to My Files and open it. To find My Files, you may need to access the Samsung folder. Then **tap Settings after tapping More options** (the three vertical dots). - To return to the file list, hit the switch next to Show secret system files, then tap Back. The files that were previously hidden will again be visible. - Gallery: Go to the Gallery app and open it, then tap the menu in the lower right, then Trash. To recover an image, go to Edit and choose your image (or a collection of images) from the drop-down menu.
