**switch off autoplay videos in the Instagram app for Android** There is no method to halt autoplay videos on Instagram at the time of writing, although you can turn off the sound. To do so, simply tap any of the videos playing in your stream, and it will be silenced right away. This option, thankfully, extends to all videos, so there's no need to do it again. Simply tap any video again if you want the sound to return. \
**Use the YouTube app, to disable autoplay videos** YouTube's auto-playing content isn't horrible, and it's actually beneficial if you like to listen to music. However, if you don't want videos to start playing right after the previous one has concluded, you can disable this feature.In the top right corner of the YouTube app, tap on your account profile image. **Choose Settings > Auto-play from the drop-down menu**. Make sure the following video is auto-playing and that the last option is turned off. \
