## Steps to fix it:

On your Android device, go to the Google Play Store. Look up 'Google' on the internet. When the app appears in the search results, tap it to launch it and then select **'Update.'** Allow the upgrade to finish before checking to see if the Google Assistant is operating properly.
- **Clear the Google App's data and cache:** Go to the Apps or Applications section of your Android Settings page. This will provide a list of all installed applications. Here, look for the Google app and tap it. Then tap on Storage and cache or anything similar in the Google app settings page. The option to clear storage can be found inside storage. All of your application data will be wiped if you tap on it.
