- **Check to see whether you've turned off the auto-update.-**The main issue with Chrome auto-update is that it prevents users from reverting to a previous version in the event of a problem. You may become annoyed with the auto-updated version if there are significant modifications to the functionalities.
- **Examine Your Internet Service-**Chrome will check for updates every 5 hours to see if any are available. To make the update function, make sure you have a solid internet connection. Many nations, such as China, restrict Google services entirely. Update services are also blocked on some restricted networks, such as those used by corporations, schools, and institutions.
- **Chrome should be restarted.-**Most of the time, simply restarting your browser will solve your update issues. Navigate the Chrome menu on a Windows PC by clicking the symbol (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the browser and selecting 'Exit.' Go to the 'Chrome > Quit Google Chrome' option on your Mac.
- **Google Update Services should be enabled.-**If your computer's Google update services are deactivated, the Chrome update check may fail.
