## Overview

The Rule of Law is the sovereign authority of a democratic nation and it should be in dominance. There have been many instances in the country’s policies when the **Rule of Law** has been murdered by the politicians. The word ‘Murder’ that has been used is defined in **section 299 of the Indian Penal Code 1860**. ## Section 299 of IPC

The section defines Culpable Homicide as “whoever causes death by doing an act to cause death, or to cause such bodily injury as is likely to cause death, or with the knowledge that he is likely by such act to cause death, commits the offense of culpable homicide.” To elaborate the section further, some illustrations have been given that describe the term more clearly.
