- **[WhatsApp's](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94550/why-can-t-i-send-hd-photos-on-whatsapp-anymore)** six-digit verification code is also known as the verification OTP (One Time Password). It's a six-number combination that's randomly generated and sent via SMS or phone call to verify a WhatsApp account when it's first set up.
- Only a phone number that you own can be verified.
- The phone number you're trying to verify must be able to accept phone calls and SMS.
- Any call-blocking settings, programmes, or task killers must be turned off.
- You must be able to connect to the Internet via mobile data or Wi-Fi. Verification may not function if you're roaming or have a weak connection. To see if you're connected to the Internet, go to www.whatsapp.com in your phone's browser.
- **Restart your device**. (Reboot your phone by turning it off, waiting 30 seconds, and then turning it back on.)
- Delete and reinstall WhatsApp's most recent version.
- To test your reception, send a test SMS message from any phone to your own phone number, including the country code, just as you entered it in WhatsApp.
