**Keep an eye out for new information.** Though running older programs usually causes no problems, services may modify things on the server-side, rendering some functionalities obsolete. You should check for updates on the Google Play Store to ensure you're using the most recent version of the app. \
**Reboot your phone.** Believe it or not, a simple reboot appears to resolve the majority of smartphone troubles. It's one of the first things you should do while troubleshooting. Just restart your phone and see if WhatsApp works. \
**Clear the cache in the app** The cache is a great way to keep your phone running smoothly, but outdated data might become damaged and cause WhatsApp to stop working. It doesn't harm to clear it now and again, especially if the app isn't performing well. \

1. On Android, clear the cache:
2. Open the Settings app.
3. Go to the Apps & Notifications section.

5. Select Storage & Cache from the drop-down menu.
6. Press the Clear Cache button.
