**Force the phone to restart**. A hard restart can clear up a lot of crucial system issues. Depending on the model of Android phone you have, you may need to press a combination of buttons to force the phone to restart, such as: **\**

- **Press** and **hold the Home, Power**, and **Volume Down/Up buttons** at the same time.
- **Hold down the Home** and **Power buttons.**
- Hold down the **Power/Bixby button** until the phone totally turns down.
- After your phone has completely shut down, remember to **restart it.**
