Hans Raj Khanna took a keen interest in the Law and completed his **schooling at DAV High School Amritsar**. After completing his art degree from the Amritsar he **married Uma Mehra in 1934** and then he pursued the Law from **Lahore University at 22.** \ **Judicial career** In January 1952 **he was appointed as the Chief Justice of Punjab** by **[Sir Eric Weston](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Weston)**. He served in the District Court of **Ferozepur and Ambala**. He became known for his important decision for convicting India’s leading Industrialist **[Ramkrishna Dalmia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramkrishna_Dalmia)** for corruption which resulted in the jail of **Tihar** for corruption. He also served as the chief justice of Delhi High Court from **1969 to 1971** and, then he was appointed as the **chief justice of the Supreme Court.** \ **Famous judgment** \ **[Keshavanand Bharti v.
