### 5 years of practice in any [High Court](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/72267/when-was-the-allahabad-high-court-established) is required to become a Judge in [Supreme Court](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/72332/in-which-year-during-the-british-rule-was-the-supreme-court-of-india-established)

**\** The **constitution of India** subsection**(B )**of **Section 3** in **article 124** speaks the requirement of eligibility to become a Judge of the **Supreme Court**. In which he states that

1- A person should be a **Citizen of India** and should note more than **65 years of age.** 2- He should have the experience of a **minimum of 10 years of any High Court** or in an equivalent Court. 3- Any citizen who wants to become the judge of the Supreme Court should also be considered as the **distinguished Jurist by the President of India.** \
In the field of advocacy, it has been considered that to become a judge in the Supreme Court of India one **must change the color to white** which means one who has a long experience of the **Justice Department** should have the Right to become a **Judge of the Apex Court.** \
Generally, it is considered that most of the time **the judges of the High Court became the Judge in the Supreme Court** but there also have been many judges who **directly have been Appointed as the Judges of the Supreme** Court. The number of such Judges is **7,** names are **S M Sikri,** **S Chand Ro**y, **Santosh Hegde, Kuldip Singh, U U Lalit Nageswara Rao, [R F Nariman,](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohinton_Fali_Nariman) and Indu Malhotra.** \
We cannot oppose the saying of Supreme Court and the judgment of Supreme Court became the Compelling Rules to other Court like **High Court, District Court, and many other [session Court](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sessions_Court)**. We need to note down that these two courts, the Supreme Court and the High Court are considered as the Court of Record by the reason of same it became the forcible Court in the Nation. \
