**[The UR Rao Satellite Centre](https://www.isro.gov.in/about-isro/u-r-rao-satellite-centre-ursc)** completed its **100th launch** on **12 January 2018** The UR Rao Satellite Centre also is formerly **known as the ISRO Satellite Centre** and works under the authority of the **[Department of Space](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94149/who-is-one-of-the-responsible-person-for-the-department-of-space-dos)**[.](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94149/who-is-one-of-the-responsible-person-for-the-department-of-space-dos) It has given many launches including the **INSAT** series, **IRS series**, and **GSAT** Satellites. \
