## An answer is an exact response to a question that genuinely provides the essential information. A comment is different from an answer. If a comment would be suitable as an answer to the question, then it should be an answer, not a comment. A comment can be added to a question.

## A comment on an answer can:

## - Acknowledge or appreciate the answerer.

- Ask for an explanation about a portion of the answer.

- Objectional with and/or debate the answer.

- May Recommend methods to improve the answer.

## Comments should not be:

## - Greedy, offensive, or confrontational

- If a comment would be as suitable as an answer to the question, then it must be an answer, not a comment.

There are several important distinctions between posting a comment and providing an answer on a Q&A platform. geometry dash

Comments:

- Are typically short responses or questions that don't provide a complete answer to the original question.
- Are used to ask for clarification or additional details from the person who posted the question.
- Can point out issues or flaws in existing answers without providing a full solution.
- Allow back-and-forth discussion on the question thread.

Answers:

- Provide a clear, direct and thorough response that attempts to fully solve the original question asked.
- Contain all relevant information, context, explanations, steps, code, examples, etc. needed by the asker.
- Stand alone as high quality solutions without needing clarification.
- Can be marked as "accepted" by the asker and upvoted by the community.
- Should not simply say "I don't know" or ask more questions.

After all, comments serve to further a discussion, while answers are intended to bring the discussion to a close by fully addressing the question. Both questions and answers play crucial roles in a Q&A forum.\
