There are **20 universities** in the country have been declared by the UGC in 2020:-

Among these 20 universities, **Delhi has 8 fake universities which is the highest number. There are 6 states and 2 union territory.** The names of 6 States and 2 Union Territory are as follows:-

**Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal has 2 fake Universities while Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Puducherry has 1 fake Universities. Uttar Pradesh has 4 fake Universities. Delhi has most fake Universities is 8.**
