It adheres to Lasya type which displays a more graceful, gentle and feminine [dance](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/52008/sattriya-is-a-classical-dance-form-of-which-state) form. This word is derived from the word Mohini - female avatar of Lord Vishnu and attam means graceful body movements. Literal meaning of this form is - dance of enchantress. The musical accompaniment of this dance form is chollu. The attire for this dance is - white saree bordered with broad golden brocade known as kasavu in Malayalam. It is a solo dance form performed by female artists. Through dancing and singing a song in Manipravala - mix of Sanskrit and Malayalam, it emotes a play along with the recitation by vocalist or by the dancer only. Its origin is traceable in temples of Kerala.
