The Chief Minister of **Odisha State** Shri Naveen Patnaik Ji has announced a special package of Rs 500 crore to develop Puri as a World Heritage City. ![Which state announces Rs. 500 crore to develop Puri as World Heritage City?](https://answers.mindstick.com/questionanswer/3551cbab-f386-4a19-bdc3-f0134386ac25/images/095879c0-953d-4887-93c4-de77b31deb40.png) The funds will be spent on modernization plans including development of temple infrastructure, construction of multi-lane roads, bridges, the revival of Musa River and renovation of lakes and monasteries in the area. This announcement was made by the Odisha Chief Minister at a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan (state Secretariat) held earlier last month(Aug 2019).
