[**Rajnish Kumar**](https://www.bloomberg.com/profile/person/19178428) is an Indian banker. He is the current Chairman of the State Bank of India. He joined SBI as a Probationary official in 1980. He has served in as Managing Director, a position he was given on 2 November 2015 and the Managing Director of SBI.

Kumar carries with him immense involvement with giving big credit, venture account, remote trade, and retail banking. In his over a multi decade long career, Rajnish Kumar has held such significant situations as Deputy General Manager, Pune Zone; General Manager (NW-II), Mumbai; Regional Head, SBI (UK); Chief General Manager, North East Circle and Chief General Manager, Project Finance. \

With respect to his hobbies, Rajnish Kumar is an ardent voyager and has visited a few nations. He cherishes sports and is a decent player of Badminton.
