The researchers at **IIT Mandi** in collaboration with the **Central Potato Research Institute**, have developed an *AI-based model* for *automated disease detection in potatoes,* using their leaves.

When the farmer will take a picture of a potato leaf to find out if it is diseased or unhealthy, the application would automatically detect the accurate results in real-time. With prior knowledge, it would be helpful for the farmers to spray the disinfectants. It will save time and cost to spray unnecessary fungicides. \
