Incoming calls will either go to voicemail or will not work at all as a result of this. Here's how to verify your carrier settings and, if necessary, apply an update:

- Go to the **Settings menu.**
- Select **General.**
- To learn more, go to About.
- A notification with an alert message stating that New Settings are available will appear. Do you want to upgrade right now? This indicates that a carrier settings update for your iPhone 6s is available.
- To download and install the **update, tap Update.**
