**Background apps** can degrade your device's overall performance over time, especially if you're multitasking on your iPhone. Any of your background apps has the potential to crash, and when this happens, errors and other negative symptoms are common. To eliminate out this possibility, close all of your background apps. \
Here's how to get started: \

1. From the Home screen, **press the Home key twice**. This will bring up a list of recently used apps.
2. **Swipe an app's preview** upwards to close it.
3. Carry out the same procedure for each open app.
4. When you've finished shutting all background apps, **tap the Home button.**

After that, **reboot your phone again** to refresh the internal memory.
