The latest version of iOS has a new Announce Calls feature that allows users to choose how frequently and when their device announces calls. Always, Headphones and Car, Headphones Only, and Never are some of the options available. Setting Announce Calls to Always solved the [problem](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/84543/mass-layoffs-in-2023-problem-for-employees) for other iPhone users who had the same issue with calls going directly to voicemail. Here's how you do it if you want to give it a shot: \

1. Go to the **Settings menu.**
2. **Toggle** the phone.
3. Selec**t Announce Calls** from the drop-down menu.
4. Choose **Always from the drop-down menu**. When a checkmark shows next to it, you'll know it's picked.

After making this option modification, **reboot your iPhone a**nd check to see whether calls are now working.
