**Using iTunes to access your iPhone system** allows you to back up all of your crucial data before doing an iOS restore/update or factory reset. To get started, you'll need a computer (Windows or Mac) with the most recent version of iTunes installed. Once you've got everything in order, proceed through the **following steps:** \

1. On your PC, **launch iTunes.**
2. Use the **USB connector** that came with your iPhone to connect it to your computer.
3. When your iPhone appears in **iTunes,** choose it.
4. To back up your iPhone data, click **Backup Now.**
5. To **restore a prior iOS file**, click Restore Backup.
6. Find the **iOS backup file** you wish to utilize and open it. Each backup file's date and time stamp may be consulted.
7. Wait for the procedure to complete before clicking **Restore.**
8. Enter your **device passcode** if asked.

Maintain your device's connection to the computer until the restoration is completed. You can disconnect when it has finished syncing data.
