A **recovery model restoration**, as the name indicates, is turning on recovery mode on [your iPhone](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50411/what-to-do-if-your-iphone-x-can-t-be-detected-by-computer) and then restoring iOS using iTunes. This is frequently done to resolve sophisticated system faults that could not be resolved using standard workarounds. To recover your data, you'll need to utilize iTunes once again. Here's how you do it: \

1. Use the include**d USB connection** or Lightning cable to connect your iPhone to your computer.
2. On your PC, **launch iTunes**. Make sure you're running the most recent version of iTunes.

Perform a force restart while your iPhone is connected by **following these steps:** \

1. **Press and hold the Power** and Volume Down buttons at the same time until the Connect to iTunes screen appears. When you see the Apple logo, don't let go of the buttons since you'll need to enter recovery mode first.
2. After that, you'll be given the choice to **Restore or Update**. Tap Update to get the most recent iOS version for your iPhone. Otherwise, pick the Restore option.
3. Wait as iTunes tries to **restore iOS** without wiping your data, then download the appropriate software for your device. Your phone will exit recovery mode if the download takes more than 15 minutes. If this happens, wait for the download to complete before putting your phone back into recovery mode.
4. Set up your iPhone when the Update or **Restore is finished.**
