Other functionality on your iPhone, including [Touch](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/50531/get-in-touch-with-the-world-class-3d-product-design-companies) ID identification, may be disabled due to minor software problems caused by the **recent update installation.** After an update, a soft reset or reboot is suggested to wipe this off. If you haven't already, soft reset your iPhone 7 by **following these steps:** \

1. Hold down the **Side/Power button** until you get the Slide to Power Off instruction.
2. To turn your iPhone entirely off, **drag the slider to the right.**
3. Press and hold the **Power button for 30 seconds**, or until the Apple logo displays, and then release.

This will not destroy any data saved on the internal memory, therefore you won't lose any important information. A **soft reset also clears the cache** from the internal memory, including any temporary data that may have been damaged as a result of the update.
