If your iPhone speaker isn't operating correctly for the first time, it might be a sign of a **random software fault,** especially if you're using the current audio app. All you have to do to [fix](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/81628/how-to-fix-your-broken-heart-try-out-these-ways-for-sure) these issues is a reboot or soft reset your iPhone 8. Not only does a soft reset remove unexpected software faults, but it also deletes cache data, which helps free up space on your iPhone's internal memory. Here's how to correctly perform a soft reset on your iPhone 8:

1. For at least 10 seconds**, press and hold the Side (Power) button** until the red slider displays.
2. Drag the slider to totally **turn off the iPhone.**
3. Allow **30 seconds to pass.**
4. Press and **hold the Side button** for another **30 seconds,** or until the Apple logo shows.

You may now restart your device from the settings menu in iOS 11. If you'd rather restart your iPhone 8, go to **Settings**-> **General**-> **Shut Down**. After that, your smartphone will shut off. Wait 30 seconds before turning it back on. This method has no effect on data, therefore it's a safe and straightforward approach to begin with. After the reboot, check to verify if your iPhone speaker is operating correctly.
