**Software flaws are frequently** the cause of an app's failure to function as planned. If Instagram has recently started acting strangely, the app is most likely glitching and has to be restarted. As a result, follow these instructions to delete Instagram and any other **background applications on [your iPhone](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50411/what-to-do-if-your-iphone-x-can-t-be-detected-by-computer) 8 Plus:**

1. **Quickly press the Home button twice.** It's the same as when you double-click a computer software icon. On the following page, you should see a list of recently used apps.
2. To clear Instagram, find it in the list and **swipe up on the app.**

You may also clear any other programmes that are currently operating in the background. This will ensure that none of them interferes with Instagram or your other applications. Any of the **background programmes** have a chance of becoming **corrupted**, and if this happens, other apps or the phone system may be damaged. To remove the remainder of your background programmes, simply **repeat the instructions above.**
