Turning the service off and back on is a simple approach to resolve small issues with iMessage. This approach clears any software issues caused by the latest update and then refreshes the iPhone's messaging features. Follow these steps to give it a shot: \

1. From the Home screen, go to Settings.
2. Select Messages.
3. Scroll to and tap the iMessage switch to briefly turn it off, then hit it again to turn iMessage back on.

Create a test message, then send it as an iMessage with your personal phone number or email address as the receiver. If the message is correctly sent and you can receive it, the problem is resolved.
