After that, you can **attempt restoring in recovery mode**. This will put your device into recovery mode, allowing iTunes to restore and [fix](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/81628/how-to-fix-your-broken-heart-try-out-these-ways-for-sure) your iOS. \

1. **Use the original Lightning cable** to connect your iPhone 8 to your Mac or Windows computer.
2. When your iPhone is connected, immediately **press and release the Volume Up, Volume Down**, and then the Side/Power buttons until the phone reboots. Even if you see the Apple logo, keep pressing the Side/Power button.
3. Once you see the Connect to iTunes screen, **release the Side/Power button**.
4. When you open iTunes, you should get a notification that says, 'There is an issue with the iPhone that necessitates it being updated or restored.'
5. **Select the option to Restore**, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the entire iOS restore process in recovery mode.

Corrupted system data should now be cleared and your **iPhone must be working properly** again afterward.
