Make things right and better by starting afresh. A device restart works in the same way. The difficulty you're having appears to be caused by software faults, therefore if the first proposed remedy doesn't work, you should attempt a restart or soft reset this time. There's no need to be concerned about data loss because this procedure has no effect on the data on [your iPhone](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50411/what-to-do-if-your-iphone-x-can-t-be-detected-by-computer). Here's how you do it: \

1. For a few seconds, **press and hold the Side/Power button** and either **Volume button at the same time.**![How to fix YouTube that keeps crashing, stops working, showing errors on your iPhone X](/QuestionAnswer/2d21fc95-96c0-4370-83cd-84a708c38327/images/2bf81c97-9894-4e21-948a-26344b196f8f.jpeg)

3. To t**urn your phone off,** slide the **Power switch to the right.**
4. After around **30 seconds**, **press and hold the Side/Power button until** you see the Apple logo.

Wait till your iPhone has completely booted up before launching **YouTube** to determine whether it's already functional and reliable.
