**Restarting a troublesome** app is one technique to resolve the issue. You can force a restart if you can't restart it normally, such as when the app crashes and your phone becomes unresponsive. On your iPhone X, here's how to **force the Facebook app to close and restart:** \

- Press th**e Home button twice quickly**. The Apps Preview page will then display a list of your recently used apps.
- To clear the Facebook app, go to it and **then swipe up.**

If you have any additional programs running in the background, follow the same steps to force them to close. This will prevent any of these applications from producing a conflict the next time you launch Facebook.
