Update files might get damaged due to an inconsistent connection or other factors. As a consequence, when the time comes for your **iPhone X to install the update,** it will most likely fail or provide an error. If the procedures above don't work to repair the 'unable to validate update' problem, make sure you remove the current version you've downloaded. After that, your phone will be forced to re-download the update. Hopefully, it will receive a nice set of update files this time, allowing it to complete its installation successfully. \
To remove the update, **follow these steps:** \

1. Open the **Settings menu.**
2. Selec**t General.**
3. **Tap iCloud Usage &** Storage.
4. Look for Software Update under **Manage Storage.**
5. Select **Software Update** from the menu.
6. Select Delete Update from the menu.
7. **Install the update** after redownloading it.
