A **recovery mode restoration** is the next suggested approach for serious software issues that could not be resolved by a factory reset. Through iTunes, you may **clean, restore, and recover** iOS. To get started, make sure you have the most recent version of iTunes installed on your computer. Then, using the Lightning cord, connect your iPhone to your computer. Once connected, follow these instructions to enter recovery mode and then restore iOS in iTunes: \

1. Quickly press and **release the Volume Up button.**
2. Then, swiftly **push and release the Volume Down button.**
3. Finally, **hold down the Power/Side button** until you get the Recovery Mode screen. When the Apple logo shows, don't let go of the button since you need to get into recovery mode.
4. Wait for the Restore or [Update](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/156355/what-is-google-pigeon-update) prompt to appear when you see the recovery mode or Connect to iTunes screen. Then choose **Restore from the drop-down menu.**
5. Wait until your **iPhone's system has been restored** before continuing with the remainder of the instructions onscreen.
