If the problem began after you installed an update to applications or iOS, it's likely that the upgrade reset some of your iPhone's settings, particularly those related to sound and audio. Check your **iPhone settings** to eliminate this as a possibility. \

- To do so, go to **Settings**-> **Sounds & Haptics**-> and, if required, pick Ringtone. To test whether your iPhone speakers and sound function, try different ringtones.

Accessibility is another feature or option on your **iPhone 6s** that you should examine. There is a Call Audio Routing option under the Accessibility menu. During phone conversations and FaceTime audio calls, it is a settings option that determines where the audio is heard. Set this option to Automatic to see if that helps. \

- Go to **Settings**-> **General-**> **Accessibility-**> **then scroll down** to Interaction section-> **tap Call Audio Routing** and l**astly pick Automatic** from the options. If it's already set to Automatic, try changing it to Speaker and using your iPhone to make a call or FaceTime audio call to check if your speaker works. If the speaker is working properly, return to the settings and change this option to Automatic.

You might also attempt the Airplane [mode](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/81372/us-congress-should-go-in-remote-mode-for-proper-functioning) technique. Simply turn on Airplane mode for 1-2 minutes and then turn it off. \

- To do so, **navigate to Settings**-> **Airplane mode-**> **flip the switch** **on and off** to enable or disable the capability.
