### Answer by Hitesh Vohra

**A bus** is a circuit that links two or more parts of the motherboard. The faster information can flow, the more data a bus can handle at once. The **bus's speed**, measured in megahertz (MHz), refers to the amount of data that may be moved across the bus at the same time. \
The **front side bus (FSB)**, which connects the CPU to the northbridge, is typically referred to as bus speed. The frequency of the FSB can vary from 66 MHz to over 800 MHz. Because the CPU communicates with the memory controller via the northbridge, the FSB speed has a significant impact on a computer's performance.
