**[Microsoft Windows](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows)** comes in two flavors: **64-bit and 32-bit.** Only 32-bit versions of Windows can be operated on 32-bit CPUs. 64-bit CPUs, on the other hand, may execute both 64-bit and 32-bit versions. To **determine if the version of Windows** Take the following steps: \

1. Determine if Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10 are **32-bit or 64-bit operating systems.**
2. **Hold down the Windows** and Pause keys at the same time.
3. If you're running a 32-bit version of Windows, the System window lists 32-bit Operating System next to System type, and 64-bit Operating System if you're running a 64-bit version.
