- The [**MacBook**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/49862/what-is-mac-os-x) Pro **did not operate with the Rode VideoMicro**. You utilised the provided Rode TRS patch cable as well as the Rode SC7 TRRS to TRS patch cable to connect the Video Micro to my iPhone. So That I can insert your iPhone headset into the 3.5mm audio socket on your iPhone headsets, and both the headphones and microphone function with Skype and FaceTime, etc.,
- But anticipated it to work with my Mac. However, when You connect in the VideoMicro and look under Input in System Preferences > Sound, no external microphone is mentioned. You can see that headphones are inserted into the headphone port under Output, but the Mac does not recognise the microphone.
