- The metal and glass **Thunderbolt Display,** which measures 27′′ diagonally, employs the same 25601440 screen as the original 27′′ iMac and the LED Cinema Display, with a chassis thickness that falls midway between the last two iMac versions.
- The display is unique in that it contains a Thunderbolt port, making it simple to connect a [MacBook](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/102567/macbook-or-windows-laptop-which-is-better) Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, or Mac Pro. Connect your Mac to the display via the Thunderbolt connection after inserting it into a wall socket to obtain access to three powered USB 2.0 ports, a Firewire 800 port, a Thunderbolt port, and an Ethernet port.
- A MagSafe plug can deliver up to 85W of power to a MacBook, and a MagSafe 2 adaptor for newer MacBooks is included. The visual connection must be Thunderbolt; no other video standard is supported.
