- **Yes.** The greatest amount of power this adaptor is designed to give is 85W. You can use this adaptor to power any gadget that has the magsafe 2 connector that Apple currently offers.
- If you have a device that needs less power, such as a 45W [**MacBook**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50334/how-to-restore-your-mac-from-a-backup) Air or a 60W MacBook Pro 13, the adaptor simply does not need to deliver as much power. There are no drawbacks. In fact, an 85W adaptor used to power a lower-powered Mac may operate cooler than the smaller 60W adaptor.
