- It's not too difficult to pair a **remote with a [Mac](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/49881/how-to-read-an-ebook-on-mac-os-x):**
- Log in as an Admin user on your Mac.
- Close your eyes and lean in close to your Mac (about 3 or 4 inches away).
- Point the remote at the front of your Mac's infrared sensor.
- For 5 seconds, simultaneously press and hold the Menu and Next/Fast-forward buttons on the remote.
- Your Apple Remote and PC have now been paired. For a brief moment, a chain-link like lock should appear in the centre of your screen.
