- To fix an application that has a spinning cursor right now, do the following: the top left corner, click the Apple icon. **Force Quit (or Cmd+Alt+Esc) is an option.** Choose the app that isn't working. Press the Force Quit button.
- **Reinstall or reset the frozen application**. Because Macs lack a proper uninstaller, moving apps to the Trash bin leaves a lot of leftovers. Some of these may have caused the spinning wheel to appear, so if you ignore them, the problem will persist.
- CleanMyMac X is a [**Mac**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/49900/how-to-fix-a-mac-with-a-flashing-question-mark) maintenance programme that you can download. Open it up and select Uninstaller. From the list, choose the app you want to reset. Select the application icon by clicking the tiny arrow next to it. Select Reset Applications from the drop-down menu.
