**Follow these procedures** if your Mac doesn't seem to switch on after you push the power button. \
**Make your Mac switch off and on repeatedly.**

1. Even when your Mac is connected to AC power and has a functional display, it may appear to be shut off. Follow the instructions below.
2. For at least 10 seconds, **press and hold the power button on your Mac,** then release it. If your Mac is already turned on, this will **force it to shut down.**
3. If nothing happens, **push and release the power button on your Mac.**
4. If your Mac now **powers up**, so your problem is solved
