**Steps to [Fix](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/81628/how-to-fix-your-broken-heart-try-out-these-ways-for-sure) :**

- **Select the [Apple](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50903/how-to-fix-itunes-error-1671-on-apple-iphone-7-plus) menu in the upper left corner.** From the menu, choose Force Quit. Force Quit the application by selecting it and pressing the Force Quit button. Another option is to right-click or control-click the app's icon in the Dock to Force Quit it. If it's not responding, you'll be able to Force Quit it.
- Even if you were able to Force Quit your problematic app, it's still worth rebooting your machine. **to Restart a Mac That Isn't Working:** Hold the power button down for a few seconds. If it doesn't work, hold down the Control and Command buttons while pressing the Power button.
- The initial cause of your Mac's slowness is usually out-of-date software. Here's how to see if your Mac is running the most recent version of OS X:
- Select **System Preferences > Software Update** from the Apple menu.
- You may check here to see if your Mac needs to be updated. To install an update, follow the on-screen instructions.
