- Most laptops have a Kensington security slot built in, bu**t MacBooks don't,** so you'll need an adaptor to use one.
- To safeguard your Mac from malware and tampering, use the General pane in Security & Privacy options. On your Mac, go to Apple menu > System Preferences, then Security & Privacy, then General.
- There is no security slot for a locking cable on the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display (MBPr).
- To lock your Mac, simply hit Command+Control+Q. You can alternatively use Command+Shift+Q, however this will log you out fully, which will close any open programmes.
