- It's not difficult to make **Linux look like the [macOS](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/49993/is-there-any-hard-shell-available-for-macbook-pro-13-touch-bar) desktop.** It is, however, dependent on the desktop environment you are utilising. We'll look at how to skin Linux to seem like a Mac using five different desktop environments in this guide: GNOME ,Xfce ,KDE Plasma, Linux Mint's Cinnamon desktop, Unity
- You'll need to install the appropriate themes if you want your desktop to look like a Mac's. This is exactly what the macOS Sierra Linux theme does.
- The Gnome Yosemite icon theme closely resembles the design of macOS. The technique to customise them, like programme themes, differs between desktops.
- The other guides, with the exception of Unity, will presume you have Plank. It's a taskbar that blends in with the Linux macOS theme nicely.
